Building a Culture Employees Wanted to Stay For. We designed an Employee Onboarding program to create a sense of pride in being associated with the brand.
The Challenge
A premium, branded hospital in Bangalore was facing consistently high employee attrition. On the surface, the workplace was supportive, employee-friendly, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Yet, employees were leaving.
Many struggled to connect emotionally with the brand, understand what it truly stood for, and adapt to its way of working.
How we solved it
We used the hospital's mission, vision, and core values as the foundation for building a stronger employee experience.
Rather than treating induction as a one-time orientation, we redesigned and repositioned it as a comprehensive Employee Onboarding Program. The objective was not just to introduce policies, but to immerse employees in the culture from day one.
Core values such as exceptional patient care, continuous learning, collaboration, and supporting one another were translated into practical behaviors through the induction.
The onboarding program also acknowledged an often-overlooked challenge: even experienced professionals need to unlearn old practices before embracing a new culture.
By creating a safe environment for learning, relearning, and asking questions, employees were able to integrate into the organisation with greater confidence and clarity.
The Impact
Resulted in employee retention rate jump by 40%.
